You want to deal directly with your technician so that he can educate you about the proper care of the components. You want a technician that is as experienced and knowledgeable as the engineers who designed the equipment, and in some cases even more so. Our technician, Alex Lok will suggest modifications to solve a persistent problem or improve a component's performance. A factory technician cannot offer this advice because it is a conflict of interest in offering how to improve his own companies products.

Other technicians without familiarity with high-end designs may treat your $5,000 amplifier just like the $400 television that was on their bench yesterday. It always pays to seek advice and service from a qualified technician. Some of the equipment that comes across Alex's workbench would humble even the most jaded audiophile magazine reviewer. Rare, and out of production equipment, essentially collectors items are restored to perfect operating condition years after the factory went under and left no repair documents or parts advice. Alex loves this kind of work and can offer references of many happy cutomers with this kind of equipment who have become part of the The Analog Store family.

Each unit brought to us for service is given Alex's full attention while he restores them to optimum performance.

You may wish to call ahead to speak with Alex before bringing your equipment in for repair. Alex can often diagnose the cause of the failure over the phone, and then pre-order the necessary parts if they are not in stock. In this way your turnaround time can be minimized. We have many out of town clients who bring their components in by appointment for one day turnaround, while others who only trust Alex with their equipment will ship their repair work in from across the country. This superior service is possible only with excellent communication and planning by both the client and technician. We offer this unique level of service to all of our customers everyday!

When turntable or electrostatic speaker repairs are needed by local customers, Alex may offer to come to your home to pick up these more delicate components, to avoid the possibility of damage during transit. This will incur a modest additional charge, but will ensure the safety of the components during transport to and from the shop. Upon completion of the repairs, Alex will reinstall the repaired components and fine tune the unit in your system for maximum performance.
